I believe no team ever lost the league while having 12 points handicap with 12 matches left in La Liga.
It's also interesting that Barca can actually set quite a few new records:
-Biggest gap over second place (12 now, 15 is a record)
-Most points accumulated (68 now, 100 is a record)
-Most wins (22 now, 32 is a record)
-Fewest goals against (9 now, 18 is a record).
