Munich this season doesn't seem too lucky because they have to meet strong teams early. in the round of 16, Munich faced PSG. they managed to win and qualify despite having to try hard. and next is Man City, it's really not easy for Munich.
Let's recall how Real Madrid won Champions League in the past season, they won over PSG, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool. None of those clubs are weak and easy opponents for Real Madrid. Bayern Munich and Manchester City have to do the same if they want to win Champions League 2022 - 2023.
Personally Manchester City will not have easy matches with Bayern Munich. I don't say Bayern Munich will have easy matches but they are likely more comfortable than Manchester City.
Man City's first leg will be at home, and if Munich is to qualify, they will need to suppress Man City's dominance at home as much as possible which is always very strong.
If we look at domination of Bayern over PSG at PSG home stadium, we would not feel fearful for Bayern in Etihad stadium. I am not sure Bayern will repeat such impressive domination over Manchester City but it is possible. Manchester City sometimes turn to be very weak mentally when they face with strong opponents in Champions League.
the AC Milan vs Napoli match in Serie A might indeed be a benchmark for analyzing how these two teams will perform in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. But it seems that the majority of us have already seen that there is an opportunity for victory for Napoli.
It's not common for Napoli to participate in Champions League quarter finals. This season, they worked hard and got that chance and are making history for their club. Seasons ago, Atalanta was an underdog like Napoli in this season but Napoli actually are playing more impressive than Atalanta. They are destroying clubs in Serie A and expanding it to Europe.
If they repeat success in Serie A to Champions League, beating AC Milan is possible and at semi finals, they can dream about a first title in Champions League for their club hall.
