Except a few Indian players most teams in the WPL are dependent on the performance of overseas players. India's talent pool in women cricket is saturated. I am sure the BCCI would work on this issue to make things more competitive. At the moment it is MI who are looking as the front runner to pick the trophy of WPL.
This is first season for many players and having no experience to play in these conditions but they still have done good job, but one thing is sure after watching few matches now I have believed many women will be developed, and we will have good enough pool for the women's in coming years but here now I need few things which will help them for having better experience and improved quality; BCCI needs to work on to send these women's to England and Australia as well because if these will play there and have good experience then surely things could be amazing for them.
Here they don't need to be having restrictions like IPL because men's cricket already have enough practice and technique but these women's have not enough facilities and experience like them, but these leagues surely improve, and we will be able to have good changes in coming years.
Are you talking about the restriction on the number of players on the team? I think this restriction is good to have. Because otherwise, the Indian women players are not going to come forward with their contribution and the overseas players are going to dominate. So this restriction is important and will be good in the long term. Of course, some changes will be made along the way in the journey of women's IPL. It is also going to take a little more patience from the BCCI to actually get a good amount of profit from the women's IPL.
