Speaking of Elche, they were only promoted to Laliga in the 20/21 season and even then they had to fight hard to survive the following season. However, what has happened in the current season is that they are in the bottom position of the standings and it seems they can't be helped anymore. They are having a very difficult season compared to some of the teams that are at the bottom but they cannot improvise which makes them finally have to be willing to be in their current position. What an unlucky fate to be gotten by Elche, I hope they can come back later.
Even though looking at their record while in the highest caste last season there was actually quite an improvement there in terms of performance even though they were still at the bottom of the standings but that was enough for them who could indeed be said to be an ordinary team. But the season has been completely ruined and they I think are sure to go to Segunda B next season with the conditions they are in.
It was difficult for Elche to survive in the midst of their devastated condition both in terms of performance and mentality.
