The news linking Erling Haaland to Real Madrid is surfacing these days once again. But this isn't pointing the near future of course. It points to 2024 year in which Haaland's currently invisible release clause is going to be activated in his contract. I don't even know if this information is true though. Because Guardiola once said that it is just about a rumour and Haaland doesn't have such release clause in the contract. But the statements from Haaland's father's side are telling the opposite.
I mean it looks like Haaland is planning a 2 or 3-year journey at Manchester City for now. He can be open to play for different teams later on and Real Madrid might go for him if they don't sign Mbappe until then.
I wouldn't completely throw out the idea of Haaland moving to Real Madrid in the future but I don’t think it will be happening just yet because Real Madrid are still very interested in signing Kylian Mbappe and if they get their main target which is Mbappe their is every tendency that Erling Haaland will not also be purchased because you can't have both stars on the same team or you risk having issues of who to start and who to keep on the bench.
The Real Madrid executives have already said they want to sign Haaland, regardless of whether Mbappe transfers or not. In addition, everyone already understands that Real has "cooled down" to Mbappe, it is obvious and they themselves said it. But to see the tandem of Mbappe and Haaland I honestly did not want to see, once again we will see a manifestation of hypocrisy from the Frenchman, as often happens
The current conditions will obviously be very exciting with the breakthrough that will be made by Madrid, which is certain if this happens it will obviously be big news.
Currently Haaland's monitoring is still quite intense, but on the other hand they also want to do the same with Mbappe even though Haaland is indeed the priority. It will be very interesting when Mbappe is combined with Haaland although actually I still hope they become rivals for the future with different teams.
