Much like Counterparty, Ordinals is a protocol for NFTs on the Bitcoin blockchain. It contains:

- a method for tokenization
- a method for transfer
- an active market of participants.

An Ordinal is as much a Non Fungible Token as anything using the ERC721 standard on Ethereum. I know I say this a lot  but its a matter of understanding what you're actually talking about rather than opinion.
