Meanwhile in La Liga, Real Madrid no longer has high hopes for the title. In the Champions League they have to prove that beating Chelsea is not difficult
In La Liga, almost no hope for Real Madrid and they have better chance in Champions League. However, beating Chelsea is not easily as they are one of biggest clubs in Europe. They don't have good form in this season and recently but if they could beat Barcelona years ago in semi-final and win Champions League in that season, they can do it against Real Madrid.

Football always have chance for surprising result and Chelsea have enough resources to make surprise.

Of course, so far there is no problem for his coaching style. He's been consistent with his coaching style and that has been proven while in local competitions. But he failed miserably in the UCL and Europa League. Even with huge player spending, he has not been able to compete in Europe. I think this is what they have to fix. In addition, there have been some ugly rumours regarding bribing referees and Gavi's problematic extension could possibly become a serious problem.
Xavi is a smart coach and so far he has managed Barcelona only one season and a half but he has done his good job there. Winning La Liga in a second season as a coach is great especially Barcelona now are not like their golden team years ago.

It's big difference between playing against domestic clubs in La Liga and clubs from other countries and other leagues in Champions League. Playing against clubs with similar philosophy and familiar coaches and players in La Liga is more easily than with different philosophical clubs in Champions League. Xavi got that troubles in this season but I believe with time, he will sharpen himself and help Barcelona to perform better in Champions League.

In addition, Barcelona have a very young talented player generation which is their powerful resource for near future.
