You are absolutely right. Automation and AI are changing the job market, and workers will need to adapt to these changes. As you mentioned, some jobs will be displaced, but new jobs will also emerge.
New jobs have to be on the ground for those that will lose their jobs because of AI, once AI replaced them they should start work with immediate effect, or else this idea is very stupid, many people will become jobless and poverty will reign even more, AI will work for free, no need to pay them right? Who is going to benefit the most?
Therefore we are challenged to be more creative in meeting job needs. AI really helps, but there are many things that AI cannot do but humans can do. AI will focus on standard programs while we are able to make a little difference, insert skills, and special skills and be able to make up for what is lacking from AI.
