I think now that Potter has been fired Chelsea will begin to play good football compared to Potters regime. Chelsea is a strong club and have quality players but their problem started from when Todd took over ownership of the club.
Building Chelsea to a standard form will not be achieved so soon, and not in this season because the new coach needs to study the laxity in the players and what strategy he needs to use in playing other clubs so that victory can always be theirs. Real Madrid form is too strong for Chelsea to win in their poor form, automatically, I think Chelsea is out and should start preparing for next season UCL if possible.
Now whoever coaches Chelsea after Graham Potter I think he's going to have a very demanding job. Chelsea are expected to be in good form after Potter was sacked, while the new coach will spend quite a bit of time building the team and adjusting to his new team.
Nothing will be easy especially when they are required to beat Real Madrid in the Champions League, I think it will be difficult for whoever they are. Even though Julian Nagelsman could get this position, he realized that he had a tough task.
