Everton are considered lucky to score the equalizing goal in the final minutes of the game, even though they have 10 players remaining for a long time. For Tottenham, the red card Lucas received in the last minutes was bad. They won't be able to take advantage of him in the next match. It must be a bittersweet feeling now that both teams have won 1 point.
The late goal scored by Keane ultimately made both teams share points. And amongst the two teams, Everton can be said to be the lucky one as they had desperately needed a win to help them move up and away from the relegation zone. They didn’t get the win they had wanted, but the one point gotten from the draw helped changed for now, the fortunes of Everton as the point gotten did help them move away from the bottom four.
Also, Spurs couldn’t capitalize on the red card earlier given to Doucouré to score more goals. Ironically, Keane who had earlier caused the penalty that gave Spurs their goal, came to the rescue with a superb shot that went straight into the back of the net.
Good game for Everton as their perseverance paid off with a goal of their own thereby denying Spurs the win.
