I don't understand why the Bayern Munich management sacked Nagelsman. Nagelsman was a good enough coach. And Bayern Munich's performance was not weak. Even so, the Munich management decided to fire Nagelsman. Potter, on the other hand, has had plenty of time to stabilize his team. But he failed completely. Chelsea management should have taken the decision to sack Potter earlier. However, Nagelsman looks more likely to be Chelsea's coach. Because Chelsea can't find an experienced coach like Nagelsman at the moment. If Nagelsman becomes the coach of Chelsea, I believe he can stabilize the team.
You cannot eat your cake and have it, Potter don't have enough time to make a come back, they were having hard time in Premier League, they had hard time in FA cup, the only place they had hope is Champions League here and they will be challenging Real Madrid, an opponent team that they couldn't beat the last time they met, if I am the owner of Chelsea, he deserved to live the club with immidiate effect. Nagelsman is yet to make any official statement regarding his sack, may be it is similar to what happen to Tuchel when he was in Chelsea.
At least the current Chelsea supporters are relieved that management has done what they want. Actually, for a long time, Chelsea supporters have urged Chelsea to immediately fire Graham Potter because they were deemed unable to make a difference to the game from Chelsea. It may take a long time for the Chelsea management to make a decision whether or not to sack Potter, and now that decision has been made.
It was a good decision to fire Potter early when Potter replaced Thomas Tuchel last September and signed a five year contract. However, during his seven months as coach he failed to change the fate of the Blues this season. The series of negative results obtained by Kai Havertz et al has made them now sit in 11th place in the standings.
It is said that Boehly had an emergency meeting with Potter on Sunday morning. Prior to coming to the meeting, it was reported that Boehly had no specific intention to fire the former Brighton coach. But after a few meetings, the decision to fire Potter was taken. Several Chelsea players were shocked by this sudden news.
Even worse, Chelsea fans had no sympathy for him for doubting his leadership, until there was a petition to immediately sack him as coach. So this is why there are many reasons to consider firing him early.
