2. The Crypto Winter: From late 2017 to early 2019, the cryptocurrency market experienced a prolonged bearish phase, which is commonly referred to as the "crypto winter." During this time, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies declined by over 80%, and many projects and businesses related to cryptocurrencies went bankrupt.
In my case I would say that the 2017-2019 bear market has been the worst period for me in cryptos. I learnt about BTC in late 2016 so few months later there's been a very bull run, then everything began to fall apart so quickly and to be honest it's not been easy at all to manage all the contrasting emotions. The last (current?) bear market? Way easier to manage and to deal with.
