2. The Crypto Winter: From late 2017 to early 2019, the cryptocurrency market experienced a prolonged bearish phase, which is commonly referred to as the "crypto winter." During this time, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies declined by over 80%, and many projects and businesses related to cryptocurrencies went bankrupt.
This was an important accumulation phase for me.
I discovered bitcoin in 2017 and bought some. The crypto winter was an opportunity to expand it, specially through this forum.
Good times , and patient and perseverance paid off.
This must be a tough time for those who are forced to sell this time because of the very low prices of coins. However, this is also a good opportunity for us to enter the market and buy those coins at their cheapest prices. While others have decided to leave the market because of non-profiting, I believe a lot of new investors have entered the market too and focus on buying and hodling for long term.
