how do I write this conf file and do I place it in the Administrator or guest section of Windows?
That sounds like Win XP. Go to the C: drive, with any folder open, look up in the Tools menu, go to Folder Options, select "Show Hidden Files and Folders"Then Go to C: > Documents and Settings > Administrator > Application Data > Magneticoin
and the .conf goes in there
