I didn't expect Real Madrid to beat Barcelona either, especially with such a big score without conceding a single goal. I thought that Real Madrid would not try this game because they have a Champions League game coming up. But I was wrong and Real Madrid, particularly Benzema, were able to pull off this incredible win in the Spanish Cup semi-final. It will be interesting to watch their final match against Osasuna in a month's time.
What I discovered in this advent of Xavi as Barcelona coach is that no matter how bad or poor Barcelona will perform, then have always been the ones beating Real Madrid into their meetings.
I then so concluded that Xavi has mastered how to beat Ancelotti and his boys. So my expectation was purely defined before the match but I was left amazed at the end of the match.
I also did think that Ancelotti will have to reserve his best players or atleast advice them not to play with full commitment but I was so wrong that players like Vinicius and Benzema gave their best in the match.
The image of Real Madrid against barcelona is now redeemed.
