2. The Crypto Winter: From late 2017 to early 2019, the cryptocurrency market experienced a prolonged bearish phase, which is commonly referred to as the "crypto winter." During this time, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies declined by over 80%, and many projects and businesses related to cryptocurrencies went bankrupt.
This really hit me very hard.

I can also consider what happened last year "a difficult time", but I can't because I didn't felt any difficult time or hard time on that year even though markets are going down, profits on my portfolio slowly vanishing away etc. etc. Instead of me seeing it as a difficult time, I see it as a perfect time to accumulate more and more coins. It's just good that I took the opportunity at least, and bought some coins during the year.

In 2017-2019, I was still a newbie at that time, and at that moment, I was shocked on how the crypto market is moving because it's my first time to see a market going down that drastic. I also have Bitcoins at that time (even though it is small), but I find myself at at difficult time on that year because I'm starting to panic, and I don't know what to do. I'm into a point where I'm thinking whether I will sell my coins or will just be patient, and hold it. I find myself at a difficult time on that year, but instead of just sitting on one area, and doing nothing, I took that opportunity to learn more, and didn't invest at all after I bought some Bitcoins.

Many of us experienced those different times in our crypto journey. Most of us here might not experience the incident of Mt. Gox because we might not know what crypto is at that time. Maybe the 2018 is the one that more people got experienced it, and for sure, the 2021 year of hell is the one that many people experienced it the most.
