All of those were basically very similar. Common factor was that what ever was your first big bear run, that was the one you almost lost your trust towards the whole system.
I was in from the 2013-2014 and basically it was the same situation later on with bigger marketcaps. Difference being that you most likely knew all the main developers during 2014 ->

So gambling on which altcoin to bet on was quite easier. there were only few and changes were that if they weren't pseudonymous devs, they would be mooning at some point.
Back then all you needed to pump was a new logo. So if you were designing a new logo to new coin you could have just buy it before rebrand and sell it 10-1000x. Those were weird times.
