It will be really bad for Real Madrid if they can't secure a victory in the quarter finals of the Champions League after a good performance. Because if Real Madrid can secure this year's Champions League title, I think this team will be one step ahead of all the teams in the world.
Unfortunately this season won't be like the previous years where Madrid won the La Liga, Champions League and everything in between. There are many teams who have also kept good form this season who are even more qualified than Madrid. Napoli is on fire, Bayern now has Tuchel, Mancity is on heavy fire and Haaland is eager to lift his first ever champions League. Madrid will have to pay dearly if the must reach the final to start with. The competition is too stiff to believe Madrid has advantage not even with the return of Benzema
I think for the quarter-final match I would say that Real Madrid will get through it pretty smoothly without a hitch. I think that Lampard, who has been appointed as the new coach for Chelsea, may not be able to quickly bring drastic improvements to Chelsea's performance in the Champions League. So that Real Madrid will remain the favorite team in this match. but for the semi-finals I think Real Madrid will probably have more difficulties. because the opponent that will be faced is of course an opponent who is also as strong as Real Madrid. but Real Madrid recently have been showing a better game. even Barcelona has lost by so many scores. even Barcelona could not reply to a single goal against Real Madrid. so it can be said that Real Madrid is also in a state of on fire at the moment.
In fact, it will be difficult to accurately predict which team will win. Because every team has qualified for the quarter finals. So for me every team will play their best, because of which anything can happen. After that, some teams will likely make the quarter finals.
Before the sacking of Graham Potter and replacing him with Frank Lampard, I was going f the view that Chelsea weren't gonna be an easy nut to crack for Real Madrid but after clueless decision to appoint Lampard as the manager, it became imperatively clear that Chelsea stands no chance against the Spanish giants not even now that they're in fantastic form. Chelsea's new owner's decisions at the club since his takeover has been very questionable.
Karim Benzema has scored 6 goals in his last 2 matches and isn't even showing any sign of slowing down. It might be one of the worst Chelsea's results in the UEFA Champions League competition
