Agreed. It was a grave mistake from FIFA to give Qatar the hosting rights to the 2022 World Cup. And they didn't went back from their decision even after it was proven that Qatar bribed several of the delegates for their votes. All that said, I don't understand giving the rights to a small country with just 300,000 citizens, and at that time without proper infrastructure. It would have made more sense, if there was a combined bid from the GCC nations such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. But allowing Qatar to host the tournament alone doesn't make any sense.
Did you watch all the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar matches? I think it's a little wrong to say  fatal mistake when showing Qatar as the host of the FIFA World Cup 2022 because of its small 300,000 citizen population. Qatar is country with very good economic conditions and almost all matches have no problems at all with a quite magnificent stadium. One important thing, all the FIFA World Cup 2022 matches full attention by supporter without have any space left. All matches attention around above 40,000 supporter and there are never watched the matches without stadium have space left without supporter.
