But seriously — 95% of people are just better off sticking to bitcoin. Yes, you could potentially be earning more if you pick the right altcoins, but you're better off just getting a job or starting a business in my opinion.

There's a difference between crypto investment and entrepreneurship, and I believe that's what the person you quoted meant about "business". I also believe you knew that, coz if you don't, you're either naive or simply doesn't want to understand things in different perspective.
When you put up a business, you will probably have a physical product or service and you can always sell it as long as your product isn't perishable for short period of time. So, there's a lesser risk associated with it than investing into a wrong shitcoin.
