To be honest sometimes I don't understand what Xavi is thinking, yes, like in the game against Girona. in that match, Xavi paired Busquets with Sergio Reberto. whereas, these two players have lost their speed. at least, Xavi should have played Kessie as the main starter. or, giving another young player a chance like Pablo Torre. I know that this match does not have too much weight for Barcelona. it's just that, they lost the opportunity to get full points in this fight.
The Girona goalkeeper did well and their defence, they should have scored but couldn't throughout the whole game time even with their home advantage, and then players like Lewandoski could not increase the number of goals they have scored in the league this season with that game. The league is already settled, Barcelona know they have won it, so I believe they they were not too much under any pressure to win the game. The points for both teams will be more valued by Girona who will be looking to finish better this season at a position better than were they are.
I'm a little surprised by Barcelona, even though if you look at the quality of the team they should be able to win easily, especially with their motivation to get further away from gaining points from Real Madrid on the La Liga standings, but they don't take advantage of that well.
Indeed, this draw has no effect whatsoever on Barcelona, who are currently at the top of the standings, but I am a little disappointed with Barcelona's performance because in this match I lost my bet.
