of course dont anticipate that you would getting that hundred bucks considering on how many people had been longing for this free money.

They often do this on their Twitter account (the $100 giveaway), usually you need to retweet, comment and like. I also join on their giveaway but not lucky to be chosen, as you've said many people are participating. But it's worth to try, who knows right? So do it but don't expect in return.
So KYC is good or bad, acceptable or unacceptable, it depends on each person. It's just sometimes a business company does not have choice to request KYC on users because they have comply with local laws.
If you're a private person and don't want to disclose your personal information, you might take this KYC thing as bad. But there's still casinos that are not asking their gamblers to comply with KYC and you can play anonymously.
