We are talking about something that happened almost a year ago. Yes... France didn't performed well during the 2022–23 UEFA Nations League. The management didn't gave much importance to this competition, and the players themselves looked not very interested. There were quite a few upsets. Started with France going down 1-2 against Danmark (after scoring the initial goal). Then Croatia got a lucky penalty, which helped them to hold France to a draw. Then again, in the next match another penalty enabled Croatia to defeat France.. I am not defending their performance in this tournament. Just saying that France of 2022 June is not the same as the France of 2023 April.
Yeah, but you can't say that there is a large gap between France and all other European teams after France played two games in this year. I admit, winning 4-0 against Netherlands is great, but Netherlands is not the top European nation. We will see how good France will be when they play against England or Spain.
