Barcelona's 13 points gap at the top of the league have been cut down to 11 after their draw against Getafe. Barcelona have been in a very poor form lately. I don't think Barcelona will loose the league but this their current form can put them in a lot of pressure. From where I'm sitting, they will continue on this their poor form until their players that are injured return.
They played better against Getafe than they did against Girona.
This is the first time this season that Barcelona have gone three straight matches without a win in all competitions. A lost against Madrid in the Copa del Rey and two draws in the league.
Barcelona needs to sit up so they don't find themselves in a difficult situation.
As far as Barcelona still has an 11 point advantage over Real Madrid in La Liga, then a draw in the last 2 matches in my opinion is not a big problem.
Of course Xavi was hoping for a win from Girona and Getafe, but both teams looked very confident to defend and didn't leave room for the Barcelona players to look for goals. In the end, the plan of the two coaches was quite good. Yes, at least 1 point is expected in the match against Barcelona.
Barcelona's chances of securing the title are still very big, but Xavi also needs to ask his players to appear more motivated for the rest of the season to put up a good record.
