First of all, I would not consider beer as an alcoholic beverage. It contains less than 5% ethyl alcohol. Even some of the homeopathic medications contain more alcoholic content. Also, beer is a fermented beverage and it is not distilled. Also, I don't agree with your argument that alcohol is the root cause of all the evil in the world. Here in India, there are states such as Mizoram, Nagaland and Bihar where alcohol is banned. And these are the states with highest drug addiction rates and crime rate in India. Also, the highest prevalence of HIV infection as well.
Beer absolutely is an alcoholic beverage.
You can end up heavily intoxicated by only drinking beer.
You are probably thinking of 0.5% instead of 5%. Even bread or soy sauce, etc, can have up to 0.5% or so of alcohol, but that's not enough to make you drunk.
There's no way a homeopathic medication has more alcohol content than beer. Happy to be proven wrong with a link, but that medication would not be sold without prescription if indeed it has more than 5%, which I'm sure it doesn't have.
