I think depending on your choice, nobody will force you to invest in either crypto, or deposit or to buy solid metal. But I will recommend you to invest in crypto, but if you are investing in crypto make sure you invest any amount you can afford to lose and the amount you won't be needing for now. I don't even think it's advisable to leave your money in bank, and I don't really know anything about metal that you are planning to invest in. But I will personally advise you to invest in crypto(bitcoin in particular).
