If there have never been an alternative to the centralized system controlled by the government, we will not care so much. The freedom and other benefits that bitcoin has offered has made it so that it will be difficult to switch back to total dependence again to the government controlled system. This is my reason why bitcoin should stay in the next 100years, because we are happy about the benefits and just becoming comfortable with it.
