After watching this horrendous match for Tottenham I don't give them any chance to finish the season in top four. That performance especially in the first 20 minutes of the match was terrible I mean.
Newcastle were playing like they had a very weak team against them in the match. Of course Tottenham were doing really bad in the recent times but not this much bad in the end. They can't have any explanation for this terrible performance in defense. Kane was the scorer of the only goal as usual and he must have been very angry at his team for this performance here. Newcastle and Manchester United are more deserving teams for top four at the moment. While there is a six-point gap with Tottenham they can both qualify for the Champions League.
Tottenham has been inconsistent during this whole season,one good performance was backed by 2-3 bad performances and this has been the case with them,that is why I am not surprised at all at this result although I must admit no one of us expected Newcastle to score 6 goals against Tottenham as their attack has not been that brilliant during this season while they scored a maximum of 2-3 goals in most of their games.
I don't think Tottenham deserves to be in Champions League,they did not show anything during this season there and I think it would be better for them to try their luck in Europa League where teams are somewhat easier to compete against.
Before Antonio Conte was relieved of his managerial duties from the club, he has publicly pointed out Tottenham Hotspur's main problems and like he rightly said, if those problems aren't solved the club will continue to suffer despite the kind of quality players or manager they possess.
Tottenham Hotspur's general performance this season has been poor and I don't think they can make it to the UEFA Champions League competition next season. They were outclassed today by Newcastle and were second best team on the pitch against Newcastle Newcastle. I even doubt if they can finish the season in fifth position considering their current form.
