Hi I have been toying with the idea of investing in BTC but have waited due to some investors saying the price will drop to 12 - 16k again. do you think it could still drop to this or are we more likely to move on up to 40k?

If you are stupid enough to believe in random people saying this and that, then you will never succeed in crypto investing mate because what you need to have here is to trust Bitcoin and keep it on hold as long as you can.
remember that we are talking about bitcoin here in which the safest and the strongest coin crypto ever had.
so assurance is always there to keep you moving and trusting.
I agree, people who trust others will never amount to anything, they will keep making mistakes over and over again and that will be terrible for all of us because that money could also go into bitcoin and make it higher, but instead not go into it because influencers convinces of them something else.
It could be bitcoin will go lower, it could be some terrible alt, it could be anything that causes them not to buy bitcoin at that moment. When that happens, not only that investor loses money, but also we do not make a profit that could have helped us as well. If you want to be a good investor, ignore influencers and start investing into bitcoin for the long term and you will make a profit out of it without a doubt.
