It's a hard moment for Bayern leverkusen, Wolveburg already behind them with just a point. After succeeding 3 strong fixture (wolveburg, Frankfurt and St gilloise, without losing any, Another home match for them and a tough one for that matter. I don't think Leverkusen will be moving up in the Bundesliga standing cuz they Still expecting more tough matches coming their way after today clash with Liepzig. I know that one amongst Union Berlin, Köln and Roma, will have to defeat Leverkusen, and this will be very careful to them in the standing
The game of Leverkusen vs. RB Leipzig has just ended and Leverkusen was able to win their match yet again with 2-0. Leverkusen now has 4 wins in a row in the Bundesliga and it really looks like they could still have a chance to reach rank 4, which would qualify them for the Champions League for next season. At the moment they are only 5 points behind.
I have watched the whole game and i have to say, that i feel kinda sorry for RB Leipzig, they definitely were not the worse team they even dominated the game for the majority of the time and are leading in most stats, they just were not efficient enough.
This reminds me of the game of Dortmund vs. Leipzig where they also were the better team but in the end they have lost to Dortmund too.
The progress shown by Leverkusen was very rapid, they were quickly in the top flight after they experienced unsatisfactory results at the start of the season. Not only in the Bundesliga, but they do it also in the European competition which they are still participating in. They are now in the semi-finals. Xabi is the person most highlighted for the ever-increasing performances shown by Leverkuse, in his hands Leverkusen are slowly being able to show their true game that can compete in the top flight.
Freiburg are also in the competition to qualify for the Champions League now. And today they got a really big win against Schalke by a 4-0 score. I must admit that I was refraining from placing a bet on Freiburg for this match despite their being highly favourite. Because Schalke have been competing for getting out of the relegation area therefore I was afraid of a surprising score. They made some improvement in their form recently as well you know.
But in this match they really couldn't do anything at all. For a moment I really thought that they would manage to play decently in this one as well. Because they improved their morale a lot by destroying Hertha Berlin last week. But after this big loss they must be really down in morale. I don't even think Schalke deserve to stay in the league considering their general performance in this season.
Freiburg was supposed to win this match. Probably didn't expect to win the match so easily. But did expect them to win anyway. The result was good for Freiburg and they were able to solidify their position in the top four.
Schalke is going to find it hard to get out of the relegation zone. Recently they have been performing badly as well. To be honest the performance was never actually good from them this season. That's why I don't know if they deserve to stay in the league.
On paper it is very clear who will win the match between Freiburg vs Schalke and sure enough Freiburg can finish very well and create 4 goals to seal the win. No matter how hard Schalke tried, they couldn't do it because indeed the game from Frieburg was enough to put pressure on and not allow Schalke to score at least 1 goal in this match.
