Hello Lexomatico, did you read the Quick Start guide? The purpose for having your public address (there is nothing dangerous about giving out your public addresses) is because we send you your coins as soon as your order is executed instead of storing them in an online wallet. This is to minimize your risk and is to your benefit.

We only ask for your email address to register (I assume you mention this because we don't ask for a password?) because we authorize you with an encrypted cookie. Any change must be approved through your email using 2FA. To login from another device, you must authorize through your email. We take security very seriously.
