Juventus are a strong team of course but I don't know how successful they can be against Sevilla in this stage. Because Sevilla have made a serious improvement in their effort in this tournament recently. That performance against Manchester United in the rematch was something else really. They were very effective at benefiting from the goal chances they had. If they manage to keep their concentration high against Juventus as well then I think they are good enough to reach the finale as well.
Juventus' performance against Sporting wasn't impressive at all. It was a really competitive matchup about the score maybe but I didn't like Juventus in any legs. I don't know if they can apply the same game plan against Sevilla as well. Considering that Sevilla are the most dominant team of the Europa League for years it will be really hard.
Juventus have won 3 Europa League titles so far, but they did it in 77, 90, 93. Juventus qualified for the Europa League final last time was in 1995 when Juventus lost to Parma. While Sevilla have won 6 Europa League titles in the modern football era where they have never failed when they qualified for the final.
Comparison of quality and mentality between the two teams is very important to guess who can qualify for the final, but I tend to think Sevilla is a team that has a good chance of qualifying if they can repeat the same scenario as beating Manchester United. Sevilla has improved, especially in terms of form. So it's only natural that their probability of qualifying for the finals is also good.
The comparison doesn't make a lot of sense because Sevilla is a frequent candidate in the Europa League whereas Juventus Turin is a frequent candidate in the Champions League. Sevilla took part in the Champions League 8 times whereas Juventus took part 23 times. Juventus has 2 CL titles and 7 runner-ups, meaning they have been to the final 9 times. Sevilla has never been to a CL final.
This is where the comparison lacks. It is like saying that Lewis Hamilton should lose against some Formula 3 driver because the Formula 3 driver is dominating Formula 3 and Hamilton is not.
I still think that this is almost a coin flip between the two teams. Sevilla has now shown what they are able to.
The management of the Juventus team now needs to think about the team in a big way. Because Juventus is a traditional team. Currently the condition of this team is very bad. After Di Maria joined the team, the team played some great matches but currently the performance is not very good.
