I don't know how the American system works but has a big part been redacted? The "credible witness" McQueary's story is contradicted by everyone he spoke to yet he is the only one believed.
EDIT: went back and read again. I really don't understand how that guy's evidence got called credible. He sees a child being raped and walks off to tell his Dad? His Dad, far from being concerned, waits 24 hours and they tell the Paterno guy. Paterno denies being told about any rape. Other officials talk to McQueary and all of them say that he never mentioned rape. And the victim of this rape doesn't testify. Then McQueary carries on working with all these guys, including the rapist, for years without ever telling a soul.
This story doesn't add up at all. Can anyone enlighten me?
McQueary would have put his job at risk, and would have been accusing some very wealthy and popular people. It's purely acting out of cowardice.
Kinda the same for the victim, but for the victim it was probably more out of trauma and (justifiable) fear.
Still doesn't add up. Very few people manage to keep something like seeing child rape secret for as long as he did. Either he is lying about what he told people or everyone he spoke to is telling the exact same lie.
