It wasn't a tough day for Atletico Madrid. Despite getting 1-0 behind they won 3-1 by a comeback. Maybe they lost to Barcelona last week but they didn't let this loss lose their concentration on the league. The league is all they have left for this season in the end so they want to finish the season at the best spot they can at least. Real Madrid looked like they have given up the rest of the matches already.

I see this as a chance for Atletico Madrid to take their spot in the standings. The gap is only two points now. I'm aware of the fact that finishing at the 2nd or 3rd spot won't change much thing because of qualifying for the Champions League anyway. However it is important for Simeone to finish at the best place possible. Because I think his seat isn't safe for him anymore. The general look of the season hasn't been good at all for the team. The board might think of making big changes from now on.
