Milan have done a really great job so far in the Champions League unlike their general Serie A performance. They can even qualify for the final round now. In the meantime Rafael Leao has been one of the most impressive players of the team. His contribution level with goals and assists to his team has been at a significant rate until now. This must have attracted the attention of some big teams already.
Right now, he has a contract running until June 2024. This is a pretty close date as there is only around a year left. I wonder if Milan have started negotiations for a new contract already. They had better do so because it would be really difficult to keep him in the team otherwise. It isn't a big deal for rich teams to spend amounts like 100 million euros or so on skilled players like this. We might even see at least one team making an offer and trying their chance this summer.
I would personally wants to see a Champions League finals of an English team versus an Italian team ir a Spanish team versus an Italian team. For some recent times, the finals have always been between the Spanish team and the english team.
With the level of form that both Madrid.and Manchester City has, I know, it will be a fierced match for the giants of Italy, but since it is a final, anything can happen.
I really applaud the performance of the Italian teams this season including Napoli. Let's go for it next season.
