Real Sociedad where able to win there game tonight which now give them 8 points difference from 5th place Villarreal, they played really well getting the first goal in the first half of the game and adding the second in the second half, which gave them a comfortable win over Osasuno. Osasuno are in 8th position and a win would have put them a good position of qualifying for Euro football next season.
Real Sociedad was able to widen the distance from Villarreal in the standings table because an additional 3 points from the win over Osasuna made the difference between Real Sociedad and Villarreal 8 points which is a safe point for this week. Osasuna lately they tend to be unstable even though they need a win to lift the fighting spirit of the players when they face Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final.
In the next week, Osasuna will again get a tough opponent because Barcelona is an opponent they will find difficult to beat. Therefore I think that in the next two weeks Osasuna really has to work hard if they want to give real madrid a tough fight.
