many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"
The man in this story should never be allowed to see his daughter again or anywhere around children. He is a risk to them. Now he has destroyed his relationship his family forever. That what gambling does. It firsts destroys the life of the gambler then it goes on to destroy the relationship with the family and friends. If can't gamble with discipline then do not gamble at all. Gamblers need new friends and new hobbies. Sometimes, your environment and associations has its way of holding you down and holding you back. I hope we learn from this pathetic story.
everyone deserves a second chance unless only if this was the 2nd or more times the father did to his daughter then the father has a psychological problem already and that is more than just a gambling addiction. we don't know what if worse things he will do soon to his daughter like he will raped here? its not the fault of gambling but it only happens when the gambler is heavily addicted. not only in gambling but also in drugs, alcohol and others can be experience this type of outcome but i think drugs is the worse as we all know that people who are involve and addicted to it can easily kill people.
