There are many P2P trading platforms, you can ask him to create an account there like Bisq.

Some of them use flowery sentence just to highlight bitcoin on their extra curricular activities then post it here maybe to get merits. But its little much unbelievable that he really use pure bitcoin on his travel since bitcoin is not been announce as legal tender on that country so provably a bitcoin user in that place will struggle to find merchant accepts bitcoin as mode of payment. For sure there's fiat use in that travel since this is more convenient currency for now to used by any travelers.

You're exactly right - bitcoin is not allowed and a way of payment here (just few places). But this customer didn't spend any fiat from his bank account of cash that he bring with him from the home country.

The main idea of this post was that you don't need credit card of cash when coming to Thailand. You can pay everywhere via our services and you can receive cash everywhere in Thailand too. Thus you can come with crypto only and everything will be arranged and paid.
