Yes Chelsea will end the season with the worst record in history. This season there are no proud achievements for the team from London. But for the remaining matches the Blues have the chance to beat Bournemouth and Nottingham by 6 points, but that is of course no guarantee either. But at least Lampard should be able to at least add one more point to survive in the Premier League.
But I can't imagine Chelsea having to suffer defeat until the end of the season. If that happens it will be a bad image for the new owner of Chelsea and also Lampard's career will soon end in the Premier League because of his unfit ability to manage a team.
Lampard might be able to keep his team's hopes alive in the Premier League next season, but they really need to be able to grab points in a few match for the rest of the season. Chelsea is bad not because of Lampard completely, but the players are still having trouble adapting to the environment and strategies used.
I'm sure Lampard can keep Chelsea in the Premier League this season, but really this is his last job for Chelsea in my opinion. Of course it would be really bad if in the end Lampard failed to grab single point in the next 5 matches, but that's not going to happen.
