The problem is that saying next season is up to them this season whether or not they are still able to stay.
They are now steadily dropping to 12th place in the table and their gap with the relegation zone is currently only 9 points and they have 6 games left.
Although it is still a long way to go to see them in the relegation zone, but on the other hand we must also be aware that as long as they don't play properly then this possibility is still very big.
If they don't survive this season then the hope for next season is clearly difficult I think because indeed with their current condition that in every match only loses and loses this is clearly disturbing both in terms of club conditions and player mentality.
With all of this happening in Chelsea team, it is hard to believe that both Potter and Lampard(although no match points were gotten from him) were able to make out 29 points from the Chelsea team ever since they took over from Tuchel in September. Out of the 39 points that the Chelsea team has in the premier league table, 10 points were gotten from Tuchel when he was the head coach of Chelsea.
Just imagine if Tuchel was still allowed to continue to act as the head coach of Chelsea till now. Your guess is good as mine. I think by now Chelsea would have been competing for the top position with the number of quality players it has on display.
Without much additional words, Chelsea team really needs a good coach by next season that will boost the confidence of the players, and also fix and utilize them well in their proper position
Now they don't have time to re-compare Tuchel, Potter or Lampard because actually if you can say it's too late I think.
Now they just have to accept everything that happens and try to get points. The 5 matches that they will have, 3 of them are still at a very big risk of losing points because there are still the names Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle so they just have to focus more on the 2 matches that are a little easier when facing Bournemouth and Nottingham Forrest because if against them alone in the end they don't get points then it's quite clear that it's very bad for themselves.
As for next season they have to find a coach that suits them because even the best is sometimes not in line so they need to really search in this case so that conditions like this season do not repeat themselves.
