People think Xabi Alonso is the reason for Bayer Leverkusen they have good performances in Europa League and Bundesliga, this team could even beat Bayern Munich a few weeks ago in Bundesliga and to be honest, I couldn't expect to see Leverkusen getting these results they get recently, I think if you continue this performance and based on the previous games they had, Leverkusen can beat Roma in Europa League.
Bayern leverkusen was actually changing into the new form when xabi was coming to the club. Xabi has been changed the play style from the club. he was also making the club to adopt the playstyle from spanish club as well that used tiki taka as the main strategy.
It's very hard to accept the truth but xabi is the main reason why bayern leverkusen was able performing so well like this time. I don't even think if bayern leverkusen will achieve this stage without xabi on its side.
So many clubs were also hunting his signature in summer. Xabi is such a good guy. He was able transforming the mediocre club in less than a half of season. His impact is really big for the club.
Im feeling so confidence with leverkusen rather than roma.
After nearly eight months of coaching Leverkusen, Alonso managed to lift his team from the second-bottom position to 6th in the Bundesliga standings. He also managed to put his team in the semi-finals of the Europa League after impressing in the knockout stage.

Now he is in the spotlight because of his pretty good performance. Interestingly, in the semi-finals, Xabi will face his former boss, Jose Mourinho, who also managed to bring AS Roma to appear in the last four of the Europa League. The match between Roma and Bayern Leverkusen is a match that will get the attention of many people and also because of the meeting of Jose Mourinho and Xabi Alonso of course.
It's not all great footballers that ends up as great managers but Xabi Alonso has joined the league of former world class players who are doing exceptionally well in their managerial career and I'm sure that even Jose Mourinho who managed him as a player in his Real Madrid days and whose team is gonna face Alonso's Leverkusen is very happy for Alonso's little achievements so far as a manager.
One thing that is sure in that tie is that no matter the kind of mutual respect they share and desire to see each other succeed, those two managers are surely gonna do anything possible to make their respective teams progress to the final of the UEFA Europa League competition
