Did you update as in the guide on the zeitcoin site? You need to completley uninstall the old ZEIT folder (obviously backing up your wallet.dat first), then install new version. Put your wallet.dat file back. If it does not synch afterwards, delete everything except the wallet.dat, peers.dat and zeitcoin.conf.

yes I did. my post above is after those manipulations
Hmmm.  The only problem I had was the lack of synching. And my trick for that I told you. Sadly I am out on any more tips/help. Hopefully somebody else knows more and can help you.
