Exactly... I only worry about the 10K BC / 10BTC I use for trading purposes... everything else is as secure as the paper/thumb drives where they live, in my safe.

It's all just a number to many - myself included (although my numbers are small compared to the 'real traders') and significant at current levels in respect to what I actually live on.  I think either people are very new to cryptos in general or to trading and don't remember things like the flash crash on BTC-e that took BTC to $100 from $800 for a few minutes. Or the previous ones on Gox, and the subsequent ones in BC just last week.  But that one on BTC-e was the craziest.

To this day I do not understand what person/bot dumped ~1000 BTC at once with an ask of $100 when the current price was $800... but it happens apparently.
