It is indeed a sad match result for Manchester United as the whistle has just sounded off signaling the end of the game. This is their second defeat of the week, losing to teams I consider as unequal to United. If they had won these two games, that would have given them somewhat of a cushion cause Liverpool is hot on their heels ready to overtake them on the 4th position.
As of now, Man United still has more remaining matches to play compared to their rivals. Despite losing twice to Brentford and West Ham, Man United still has a strong chance to maintain their 4th position in the league standings by the end of the season.
If they can sweep the remaining matches by winning three out of the four games, that would be enough for Man United to secure a spot in the Champions League for next season. I am optimistic that they can achieve this.
I wouldn't be so confident about Manchester united finishing and ending their season in fourth place prior to the recent winning streak of Liverpool although there are one match ahead of Manchester united but it still doesn't matter because their is possibility of Manchester united losing that one game left for them to play. Liverpool have really started making up to the poor start they had and definitely making amends for those lost points during the early stages of premiere league.
