Yes, if they could try and win three games out of the four left, they would finish in the top four spot and qualify for a spot in the champions league. While I want to be optimistic Manchester United could win those games and remain ahead of Liverpool, I’m fearful. It’s a bit difficult for me to have complete faith in their ability to win a game as when you think you’re sure of an easy win for United, it would turn out to be either a loss or a draw.
I’m hopeful they wouldn’t lose their spot to Liverpool as I too want United to finish amongst the top four and also qualify for the Champions League.
After the defeat at West Ham tonight, Manchester United's hope of securing a Champions League spot for next season becomes somehow difficult for them as a club. They are just one point better than 5th placed Liverpool at the moment and at the rate at which Liverpool is winning games we might finish the season with United disqualified from playing in Football's most prestigious competition come next season.
For Man United fan, it's embarrassing to witness such poor performance of their team in a week. I'm still in shock at how poorly they played in their recent match, missing 4 crucial goals. Their attacking side are the main cause when it comes to dropping points. It's frustrating because not too long ago we were hearing them about winning the league, but now they're struggling get a Champions League ticket for next season. The club needs to update their tactics before it's too late. Losing 1-0 to both Brighton and West Ham in a single week is hard to swallow. If they continue this downward trend, could risk falling out of the top 4 and certainly Liverpool take it.
