As much as I want to lift your spirit up with positive and encouraging words about this industry, I also don't want you to have blind assumptions. This industry is not just "all the success stories you read about online," this industry also has bad sides to it; stories of ordinary people messing up their lives due to wrong investment decisions. It's just that these stories never get talked about that much. This industry is brutal OP. But just like any other industry, you also have a fair chance to succeed. Although, the likeliness of that happening would depend entirely on how well equipped you are. And by that, I mean knowledge and experience. Which is why I hope that more than investing, you would also prioritize learning and experiencing as much as you can in this industry. Take advantage of the fact that you are still starting out and that you have found this forum at the early stages of your journey in this industry.

Also, I'm sorry that you had to go through such tough experiences in your life, OP. It must have been so hard for you all this time. Although I am in no position to say this since I haven't been in your shoes but that's just life. We can't choose what cards we get dealt with but at least along with the cards, we also get the power to decide what to do with all the cards we have. And with that kind of mindset you have, I believe that one way or another you will inevitably succeed. In fact, you're already on your way, you're already doing great!
