Day trading can give you such profit daily but you must understand  that nothing is guaranteed  in the trading industry  and just as there possibilities of making hundred dollars ($100) and even more in day trading, so there are greater possibilities of losing all of one's trading capital.

Whatever  the case be, it is always advisable  to hodl and with that amount of about four thousand (4000) dollar, there are possibilities  of making twice that amount without much risk and making more money after this halving.
But just incase you can't wait for the halving and you want to see your profits daily, then you can try day trading but I would suggest you trade with half of the money (2000) dollar and just buy bitcoin  worth the price of the other half of the money and just hodl as it is more safer to hodl without much risk as compared to trading but it is always advisable to diversify.
