You have got a fair point about the over population and other problems tourists may suffer if they visit China in large enough numbers. Also, I don't know whether you are aware of it or not. but there seems to be some health concerns with Chinese street food, about the way they recycle the oil and things similar to that.
You can search "gutter oil" on the internet if you feel like.
Perhaps instead Chine people would prefer Japan, Taiwan or Vietnam?
It would be refreshing to see some World Cup in an oriental setting this decade.
I think Japan was already done, and China may not look like it's a great deal because of pollution, but you have to understand life is very fast there and the people are incredibly poor, sure there is a rich population there obviously as well but the regular people are incredibly poor and gap is unlike any nation you have seen.
We are talking about USA having 300+ billion dollar rich Elon at one point vs people who die because they couldn't afford insulin, that's USA, and china is even worse than that. You think those poor people will be there if there is a world cup? They will build stuff like Qatar did, and they will have a great place, and that's all there will be to it, if China ever wants to compete for it of course, not sure if they want to.
If we are going to compare the 2026 world cup with Qatar and compare the situation of both countries, the whole point about this world cup is about having much more potential than Qatar because especially in America we have more sports facilities and they invest even more than Qatar if they need.
