As a gambler, I'm a bit worried if this trend will continue because I have some fraction of bitcoin that I'd like to use for gambling, especially for the NBA playoffs. So for my fellow gamblers, or those who really need to transact with their bitcoin, what are the best things to do now in order to save from fees and avoid having our transactions stay unconfirmed for too long?
All gamblers are in the same boat as you right now. As for the NBA playoffs, it depends on the game you want to bet on. If it falls on a weekend, it may be helpful to do the transactions at night or even during the weekend when there is less congestion. Transactions will be less faster than if done during the day. However, if you cannot wait, try other alternative coins.

I think using fiat for the meantime helps a little when you're chasing for a game that you really love to place a bet on. Of course you're not gonna use the crypto casino for the meantime. It's just too risky to force your transactions with higher fees and then you'll end up in a lossing bet. That's like lossing more money because of the transaction fees.
A few altcoins would also suffice.
Mempool is now a little less congested and it's gradually going back to normal.
