You may need to look at Barcelona's journey in La Liga this season once more especially in their 19 matches in the first half of the season. If I am not mistaken, Barcelona has only 2 draws "Rayo Vallecano and Espanyol" and 1 loss by "Real Madrid" in 19 first half matches. Then how do you say Barcelona's form was bad in the first half of the season?

De Jong, Dembele, Lewandowski, Pedri and Gavi and Raphinha played well. They seem to hit it off with Xavi who is so passionate about his team. But unfortunately, Barcelona failed in the Champions League because the opponent was quite heavy. Barcelona also failed in the Europa League because of Manchester United, but next season I hope Xavi can make his dream come true.
Xavi has done a great job this season especially managing with player sales and purchases to build a squad good enough to race Real Madrid for the league title and as well winning it. I must commend the hard work and positive approach to the season which we can agree to call a successful season for Barcelona. The devotion to achieving this is mind blowing and they deserve it.

I agree that the circumstances weren't that easy for Xavi and Barcelona as a whole, but whether I would go so far as to say it was a successful season, I am not sure about that. I would probably say it was a good season, nothing special and not bad. Successful evokes this inner motivation to compare it to the successful times Barcelona once had. How they were eliminated both from the Champions League and from the Copa del Rey was quite unsatisfactory. If it had been a close second leg against Real Madrid in the Copa, ok, but getting demolished at home like that shouldn't happen. And the group stage in the Champions League was doable as well.
